Welcome to our new improved website!

Phew – it’s been a busy month or so at Best Dog Walks UK but, at long last, we’re delighted to be able to offer you a warm, waggy welcome to our new look website.

We’ve launched just in time for summer to inspire you, and your dogs, to go out and about and make the most of the great British countryside. Whether you’re in Peckham or in Penzance, we’ve got a dog walk, with a hound happy hostelry at the end, that’s right for you.

So, if you’re looking for inspiration, and your dog’s sad eyes are telling you he wants to explore further afield than the local park this summer, then have a browse and be inspired.

Or buy one of our selection of dog walking books – some penned by brainy Boomer, Best Dog Walk UK’s resident Rover, himself – to carry with you as you set out on foot in beautiful Shropshire or sunny Somerset.

If you’re planning a summer holiday as well as just a doggie day out, we cater for that, with renowned travel company Sawdays’ Special Places to Stay: Dog-friendly Breaks in Britain available to buy.

We’re going to be sending out regular newsletters, informing our readers of new dog walks that have been added to the site and special offers and giveaways on our range of books, so subscribe today and keep in touch. (Unlike some sites, subscription is totally free.)

And don’t forget to follow us on Twitter too, to keep up with our latest canine capers, doggie dilemmas and hound with the nose to the ground news.
Don’t take our word for it though: ask Attlee. He’s the star of www.phileasdogg.com and, last year, collaborated with Boomer on Dog Friendly Walks In and Around London.

Attlee’s owner, journalist and travel writer Jane Common, says: www.bestdogwalksuk.com inspired me to explore the beautiful Shropshire countryside when I spent a week there and happened to stumble across a copy of Walking With Boomer’s Ironbridge guide in one of the local shops. The walks were so easy to follow, and the information, like where to take the dog’s lead off and where to put it on again, really invaluable to dog owners.’

To celebrate the arrival of our new site, we’re offering one lucky reader the chance to win a dog walk book of their choice. To be in with a chance, simply subscribe* to our site – then email us, via the contact page, telling us where your pup’s perfect pub to relax with a pint in his paw is. Or send us a tweet, with the hashtag #pawsandpints.
